Writer's Block

I have been having serious writer's block for the last couple of weeks. Mostly, I just can't think of anything worthwhile to say. When I do think of something to say, I am at work and can not take the timet o write in the blog. Maybe I should keep a notebook with me, then I can jot down my blogging ideas when they come to me.

Timmy Update:
Last Tuesday, as I was picking Timmy up from daycare, Timmy's teacher said to me, "We need to talk." This, in my experience does not usualy mean she has something fabulous to say about my little prince. The last time she said this, she told me Timmy uses a "hands on approach" when someone is in his way. This time, she said Timmy is having tantrums. Ummmm....yes, I know was my response. He's been having them for the past couple of weeks. We came to the decision that we need to use the same approach in dealing with him and these tantrums. I had been just ignoring him and hoping that it would eventually go away on its own. That, clearly, did not work. Now, we he doesn't listent he first time or when he cries to get his way, he gets a 2 minute time out. He abhores time out and screams the whole 2 minutes - it's miserable! I bought and egg timer this weekend and have started using it to count down the 2 minutes so that he can see it.
Can anyone shed light on how long this will last? Maybe I should start watching Nanny 911 again. Nanny Joe Frost has a lot of good ideas!

Hmm. Let's see. Hannah will be eight on Friday, and she still has the occasional tantrum. I think the daycare teacher should cut Timmy a bit of slack. Tantrums are a fact of life with kids, especially toddlers. Ay yi yi.

Welcome to the twos.......in my experience X4...you just have to ride it out...we still tell Luke.."use words or sit in time out, you choose" it gives him ownership and most of the time he sits...but it has been a long road. I feel like tantrums are a right of passage...they need to see our reaction to thier moods in order to learn about social skills....my prayers are with you...hang in there it is not forever....

Haha! It will last until he has children of his own!

It will get better and less frequent once he gets use to the timeout- maybe a week, or two. If he is strong willed, probably a little longer!

Good luck!
