My Year in Review

It really doesn’t seem like a lot happened to me, once I started typing it all out. Ir eally hope I am forgetting something and that I not really this boring!

My little man turned two – I guess that means he’s not a baby anymore. When I look at him now, I can’t believe how quickly time passes and how he has turned into a little boy right before my eyes.

I entered the world of working moms. Being a stay-at-home mom was a wonderful privilege and one I enjoyed so much, but like most good things it came to an end. I was lucky to do it for 2 years. Believe it or not, I think going back to work was good for me and for the little man. I think I just might be a better mommy because of it and I think the little man has been exposed to far more interesting things than I would expose him to.

We discovered that we are expecting another child – a girl this time. This pregnancy, during the first trimester, was far worse than when I was pregnant with the little man. I am also a little loopier and have made friends with my inner-blonde this time around.

My parents came for a visit twice this year, which is always good time. It’s so nice to see them and we are so blessed that they are retired and have the ability and means to travel and spend time with us.

Our extended family welcomed a new little boy – a cousin for Timmy. We also received news that Timmy would be getting another cousin at the same time his sister arrives. Babies abound!

We went to California and introduced Timmy to Disneyland! A good time was had by everyone.

Todd was diagnosed with another Melanoma. By the grace of God, however, it was stage 1 and he doesn’t need any further treatment.

Our Christmas season was festive and full of life. Timmy was fun to watch and his excitement was contagious.

It’s New Year’s Eve. I find myself wondering, being the non-resolution kinda girl, is this the day people decide what their resolutions for the new year will be? And if it is today, then what day to they realize that they have broken their well-meaning resolutions?
