Friday's Thoughts

Timmy has done amazingly well at daycare all week. He did not shed a tear upon drop-off all week; it was touch-n-go on Monday, but not a tear fell. Yesterday, when we pulled into the lot he said, "Oh, there it is. Daycare." This morning, before I was even dressed and ready to head downstairs, he was talking about daycare and wanting to go. So, there you have it, folks. The worst is over and daycare is now more exciting than Mommy. I wonder what reaction I'll get tomorrow when he figures out he is to spend the full day with me???

I stayed up late last night to watch the new television program, Notes from the Underbelly. I figured, having been pregnant in the not so distant past, that I could appreciate it. It was funny and I enjoyed it. What I didn't enjoy was hour less sleep Io ended up with. They are moving it to Wednesday nights, so that will make it easier. While I am on the subject of TV, can someone please tell me what happened to Men in Trees? I loved it - while it was on opposite of my beloved ER (which now gets recorded), I still managed to tune in and get hooked.

I worked in a differnt location this morning - about a half hour north of my regular location. My plan was to meet a friend for lunch, as I would be in her neighborhood. Plans changed and I needed to get back to the office (why??? so I could blog - no, so I could get some actual work done). As a result, I needed to grab a sandwhich to go, so I stopped and Panera. Getting back into the car, I dropped my purse - arghhh! Of course, because of our snow storm yesterday, the parking lot was wet and muddy - so my purse is the same. I picked it up and moved on... Merrily. About 10 minutes to my regular location, I thought, hey I should call my mom. I searched my purse high and low for that phone. I mean, in the beginning it was just rummaging my hand in the abyss sight un-seen. When that didn't turn up the cute little pink razor, I decided to empty out each item (yes I was driving at the time...no it wasn't the safest thing in the world, but neither is talking on my cell phone while driving - ohhhh, I really live on the edge, don't I?) Um, guess what, no phone. Well, maybe i didn't actually take it with me this monring. I called Todd when I got the office and asked him to look for my phone during his lunch. No phone at home either! OYE!!! Todd called my cell phone number, and there was no answer, but caller from my phone returned his call shortly after. It was the manager at Panera. Someone had turned in my phone. Lessons:
1) Panera Rocks - if you haven't eaten there, do it!
2) Move to NH. When you drop your cell phone, people here aren't shady enough to use it - they try to find the rightful owner.
3) When you drop your purse, look around for scattered items.

Oh, I lost my cell phone last year right after I had Peaches. It fell in the WalMart parking lot & some guy took it home - and called my husband!!! He couldn't have just gone through my numbers & called "Home"? At least you'll get it back, that's a good thing.

Glad to hear your son is adjusting so well, too. It's so hard to leave them after you've been home.

I found someone's purse once in a shopping cart in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Man she was happy when I called her to tell her I found it!!
