Wednesday Night Dinner

We try to get together with friends from down the street every Wednesday night. For the past couple of weeks, we have had things going on that have forced us to cancel. It was so nice to have them over tonight. They always come here because they don't have children; it just makes it easier for us and Timmy. This way, we don't need a sitter and he can get to bed on time.

We take turns cooking; tonight it was their turn. He did the cooking, and it was awesome. We had maple walnut salmon, rice and asparagus. If I had the recipe, I would list it here. It was really unbelievable.

I was wondering how this would work out with me returning to work, but it turned out fine. We had a late dinner (after Timmy's bedtime), so it really didn't interfere with our bedtime routine. We told a lot of stories and laughed a lot. Altogether, it was a very good Wednesday night. If you don't already do a weekly dinner with friends, I urge to. It really breaks up your week and it gives you something to look forward to.

We used to do it... but newborns changed things - maybe we can get back to it now.

We do this with our in-laws, for almost 3 years now. We take turns cooking and we alternate houses. I always look forward to it, especially the weeks I don't have to cook!

Highly Recommended!!!!
